Irreverent Warriors Receives $10k+ in Support from 100 Women Who Care (Q2 2024)

WINNER:


  • Irreverent Warriors ($10,172) brings veterans together using humor and camaraderie to improve mental health and prevent veteran suicide. Irreverent Warriors knows that the best support network for veterans, is other veterans. They bring a community of warriors together through therapeutic events across the country. They also work with other veteran organizations who provide services such as job placement, training, housing, service dogs and more.


OTHER NOMINEES:


  • Camp Cure - ETCH Camps provide a safe and fun environment for children K-8th grade with diabetes. Campers enjoy arts and crafts, swimming and sports led by East Tennessee Children's Hospital specialists and camp staff.


  • For the Love of Reading is on a mission to eradicate book deserts by flooding underserved communities with books. Partnering with grassroots literacy advocates, they organize “book floods” in these deserts to gift children books that tell diverse stories reflecting their experiences and lives. Their handpicked books not only cultivate a love for reading, but also help these children build a strong self-esteem.
